We get early and late snow here in Pinkham Notch and our snowmaking ability extends our season even further.Our trail system at the base of Mt. Washington in the White Mountains is surrounded by spectacular views of the Presidential Mountain Range and is tended to by our highly skilled groomers. Cross-country skiers and snowshoers of every ability can find trails and terrain to match their skills.At Great Glen, all of our trails are available for snowshoeing. You'll follow groomed paths throughout the system, many leading to key scenic vistas. We also have untracked backcountry terrain where you are breaking your own path, but still following a flagged trail. You are never more than a short distance back to the lodge, but far enough away to feel the solitude of this special part of the world. Don't even think of leaving the area without taking a winter trip up the Mt. Washington Auto Road to treeline in the incredible SnowCoach .
